New Zealand Tour

So we did a New Zealand Tour with Boss Christ and our friends KnifeFight. We played Auckland, Wanganui and Wellington.

Auckland show was great, we played a newish venue, well really it is an old venue with a paint job. The turnout was pretty strong and really dug all the support bands we picked. Smoking Daggers opened, fronted by Andrew Tolley (head-honcho of Perpetrator Records), they're pretty much a covers band... they do 'Strychnine' by the Sonics, 'I like to Die' by the Drags and a Mummies song to name a few. Next up was Brand New Math, cool young kids doing indie kinda shit but drunken and garagey, girls go ape shit over these boys.
Then there was Boss Christ, Hallelujah! this wolfman is amazing, he is my soul brother, along with Dr Fitness. There was a lot of party-ing afterwards!!!
Next day we celebrated KFC's 40th birthday with a keg, a home made waterslide and lots of burnouts in cheap japanese imports! I slept in the practice room (garage) as I was too totaled to go home... phew.

Wanganui - Boss opened the show with a more mellow set, really sweet versions of Human Tractor and Party At Boss Christs House. The show was in a venue called "Eye Of Night" which is actually just our friend AL's lounge. It's really well run, people come up the stairs pay their $10 bring their own beers have a party, dance and leave. It's on the main street but because no-one live's in the centre of Wanganui you can make noise for as long and as late as you want. The bands have the duty of taking the bottles to the bottle recycling plant the next day whcih is in the rough part of town, Kim almost got in a fight with some bogan dude the next day, fuck I laughed my ass off, he had no idea this dude was getting pissy at him.

Knife Fight played second, they are the best band in New Zealand full stop! loud, noisy and catchy as fuck... these guys write the best songs and have the best record collections ever!
Then we played... there was this stupid kid dancing to us who didn't wanna stop screaming into the microphone, I changed all the lyrics to 'Choice' so they were about him... after I gave him shit he settled down and let some other people dance which was sweet.

Wellington-  what a town, good food, good coffee, good people. I love visiting here. We played at the Adelaide. Same line up as Wanganui except Delaney(Dead Brothers) played with Boss Christ. Knife Fight killed it again. It was an o.k show for us, great turnout though.
So the albums out now, go get it!
